Please note if you have Medical Card coverage you are entitled to an Eye examination once every 2 years. You also need to have prior approval from your local HSE office before making an appointment. If you attend for an appointment without prior approval, we will be unable to carry out your examination on the day. It can take up to 2 weeks from when a form is sent to the HSE to be authorized to the time it comes back to yourself.
